OLED 4K 30" 60 Hz - Dell UP3017Q - Page 18

Even with my crappy PS Vita OLED the whites are mind piercing. I agree you don't really need HDR with those displays, and there's so little content anyway...

Vega, could you give some insight on the dead pixels stuff? So far there's plenty of reports that in LG OLED's case, the compensation cycles contribute to pixel death within first weeks of use, so even if you get pixel perfect TV, chances are it will have 1-5 deads after the end of the month.

I've had two LG 4K OLED's and neither developed any pixel issues. I'll surely report back if I ever see any pixel problems on this Dell.

Take a pic of your monitor displaying this, Vega:

so far every monitor I've seen can't handle this color in a uniform way.

Yes I am planning on doing greyscale, near black and white uniformity tests after the screen get some break in time. Having owned OLED before, you never want to do these tests when the panel is brand new.

That is the as my experience too with oled. I've had 5 OLED TVs and now this dell monitor and I've never had any pixel problems. For the LGs there have been some uniformity issues,. but none that i noticed with real content. (well.. the rf9500s i could sometimes.. but those are 3 gen ago and still totally worth it over LCD.)

How's gaming on this monitor, namely the input lag?

Posted a few pages back, the input lag I've measured on average low 20's.
