TN on right, IPS 4K on bottom, Dell OLED on left. The Dell definitely looks the best in person, the TN not even in the same realm. The IPS is fairly good.

One thing with the Dell is you must run "uniformity compensation" OFF.

I notice Witcher 3 looks better at a high Sharpness, well over the default 50 (on my Dell 30 Oled that just arrived.) Maybe high Sharpness of 80 actually reduces IQ and I'm not noticing it. Fine I'll take that criticism. For example high Sharpness is supposed to reduce detail in near blacks and very dark greys among other problems like creating coronas around edges and so on. I'll have to check the dark objects again in Witcher 3 but overall I'm seeing a better picture in this game. I'm just trying to find out if Sharpness should be at the consensus 0-10 or if the Dell 30 has somehow made high Sharpness actually work.

Also Multimedia RGB seems to look better (a little more Pop) than Standard RGB in Witcher 3. If anyone can see if there's anything to that. Then if I'm not dismissed, and it's ok if I am, then we can move on to other games at 80 Sharpness on Multimedia. And then 4k videos which may sound absurd to some that high Sharpness can make a difference in video IQ but I think I'm seeing an improvement in Youtube 4k vids. In Multimedia as opposed to Standard.

Edit: And all this probably can't work if colors are already over saturated. It doesn't seem to be a big problem on my monitor. But I do notice the greens sometimes pop out more than other colors in some videos.

Maybe you got "old stock", and people now are getting "new stock" or vice versa?

I don't have my LG OLED's anymore. One thing I was thinking of a possibility is if maybe they put something wonky in the 14-bit LUT's in some of the Dell's.

Are you telling me if you minimize a window, then maximize a window, ABL doesn't kick in at all on your C7? That alone makes me want to sell my E6 and upgrade.

Yes, in pc mode with oled light at 35 and contrast at 85 there is NO ABL, no matter what is on the screen.

These tv's ABL are effected by the contrast level, 85 won't do it but Rtings used 100 contrast and that does envoke ABL.

This makes me think something is definitely going on, or perhaps you are use to over saturated colors in games.

Witcher was the first game I tested, and even on Standard I felt the colors were way too vivid compared to my E6 OLED. At night, everything seemed so green because of it. The monitor was definitely running in a "wide gamut" which I find annoying, especially for movies. Setting the monitor to Rec709, which I calibrate all my displays too, resulted in a very dim picture even at 100 brightness. Which really doesn't make sense, why would color space change overall brightness?

In person the dell screen is alot greener (dingier) uuggghhh... I have played around with color settings, but the Forced Strobing really kills this things color reproduction. Is there anyway to turn strobing COMPLETELY OFF????

upload a gifcertificity.com

I believe both the Dells are the more accurate ones. That source image leans towards greenish. It's a win 10 background, and if you set your accent color to pull from your desktop background your accent color will be extremely teal green, whereas if it were that much blue in it, the accent color would definitely lean more towards blue.

For those with the Dell, can you see every single step of every single color here:

http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/contrast.php

And every single block here:

http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php

and here:

http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/white.php

Just trying to rule some stuff out.

I have my LG OLED fully calibrated with every color less than 1dE on the color picker and had same results as him. Window's blue should not be teal. I've been browsing OCN for 13 years now and OCN's theme is not teal either, which is what the monitor displayed it as.

The 2016+ LG OLEDs have very accurate colors, in ISF preset straight out of the box nothing is more than 4dE off on most of them. This can be verified by the many reviews done on these TVs. His TV isn't wrong.

Sounds like your monitor isn't calibrated correctly if your Window's theme is teal. Of course If something looks teal and windows accents it, it's going to look teal on the same monitor.

That's not your monitor in the picture though. Right? That source image is greenish. Not as deep blue like shown in the pic. That image shows nearly the blue level of the straight Win 10 Hero wallpaper. If you put up the Hero wallpaper your accent color will certainly be blue. This has nothing to do with the monitor. This is windows pulling color from the source image. If the source image were THAT blue. Your accent color would be blue. I can tell this is fact on a 10 year old TN panel, and on IPS and it is the same. It leans greenish.

This doesn't change the rest of what you said about your monitor. It's just that simply put In THAT image, the Dells appear are more accurate to the source material. My Monitor shows that image as greenish, yet my colors on this forum are not greenish. They are the blue they are supposed to be. Your issue is apparently separate.
