Lol so what is stopping you and others from upgrading? the 1080ti has been out for a while.

Oh, it certainly has that. If Vega holds its own against the 1080ti, but is newer tech, newer arch, why not make it more appealing by adding the stable performance and luxury of an aio design they have totally figured out.
My graphics cards were never anything special. They had top of the line performance for about a year then quickly slid. Pascal is the same thing, but more dated and will probably slide quicker if nvidia decides they want to partially copy AMD with Volta. I don't want an extra big helping of my least favorite part of my gpus (performance dropoff) from some bland repeat.

I'm looking to upgrade
to something better
Unless there is some horrible undiscovered flaw, Vega in an FuryX type package is looking like all sorts of better.

Aside from the fact that i refuse to give Nvidia anymore money due to bad experiences with them in the past? And im still waiting for Vega to see what it brings.

They shouldn't lock it to an AIO only option like Fury X was. Some people want a blower style or custom air card, including myself.

If it comes with AIO i'll have no choice but to go Nvidia.

If you can't get the top card enough cool air, it doesn't matter if it is a five slot. I have a cobbed together wind tunnel to keep my cards cool. When they were pegged out on W3, all of my fans were 100%. Aio would have been so nice. Also, how are you going to fit two three slots? What case has the mobo just hanging out like that?

And the Nano should make a return.

Or you could sell that aio on ebay and buy one of these: https://www.arctic.ac/us_en/products/cooling/vga.html

Well i'm not a hands on kind of pc enthusiast and i'm not going to void my warranty removing the stock cooler and doing something wrong in the process, hence i prefer a custom air card. I prefer to keep it as is.

You should probably stop trying to pretend you know anything about technology
