9590 owners past and present, who had the highest 24/7 core temp without issue?

Hey guys! Just curious what full load core temps 9590 owners saw 24/7 while pushing their chips to the limit and for how long?
I'm hitting 60c but afraid to go any further than that while stress testing, because I think the max safe temp according to AMD is 63c.

So lets hear it.thumb.gifbiggrin.gif

I've hit 80c, but usually the max temps hover around 66-68c for 24/7

my 9590 is set to run at 5.2ghz (edit: 5189Mhz) with 1.587v for a little over a year now

only time its ever hit 80 was during initial overclock stability testing, and it was for a few hours. no throttling and no errors in prime95, occt, and 50 runs of IBT

I have a better cooling setup now instead of a clc

Thanks guys, exactly what I was looking for. I'm not too worried about this chip not lasting, just holding out for Ryzen to drop or go over to Intel. Just wasn't sure how far you could really go!

Well the Ryzen 5 just came out and is a great value for a 6 core chip. I don't see their prices dropping for a long time.

I am waiting till ram prices come down to earth and the teething pains are worked out. I agree that since it has already been determined the cpu's perform as well or even better than people hoped that the prices won't be dropping. That being said I think Intel may have to reevaluate their pricing on certain sku's.

heres something ive noticed with mine, my display shuts off randomly for a split nano second so i decided to run HW monitor and for some reason at full load its bumping up my core on or at close to full load. must be a bios setting or the likes. it cant be right also the temps show 65max, my idle usually sits between 45-51 with ambient about 20

who knows i have most stuff in bios disabled along with auto settings

anyway make of it what you will this was left for 24h will i went gaming and the likes, the nb clock and the HT clock would indicate this speed but dammed if i know. ik when i was in blender it rendered a good 4092 x 4092 animation in what was minutes was only a few frames long like 10-20 but still dyam fast Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

your max temp b4 throttling is ment to be 57 degrees c according to amd site they made it lower for the 93 and 95 fx chips, 61 deg is for the a10 and fx 8370

Yes you're right, they lowered it to 57c http://products.amd.com/en-us/search/CPU/AMD-FX-Series/AMD-FX-8-Core-Black-Edition/FX-9590/98

I've been on this forum long enough to know that people take max temps as a grain of salt, some courageous daring people lol.
Right now at 4.7GHz and 1.452v I'll see max temp of 65-67c upon full load, then it will shortly go down to 61-63c once the fans kick on my radiators

Kinda pissed that my temps are so high on this cpu, my rads are getting heat soaked I think. I have two XSPC 1x120 rads, and one of them is extended in thickness (not sure exact dimensions) but I can't believe this single loop system isn't cooling this thing that well.
My pump is a Phobya DC-400 and is powered by molex so 100% all the time.
