This comes out today, and its like nobody's phased by it at all.

Easy... there are no alternatives that allow me to play my games... and M$ knows this.

First, you run to tool on a system that has an internet connection and select the OS'es (and office suites) you will use it for. After you've done a clean install, you run the updater (from an other HDD, external drive or NAS) and it automatically installs all updates for your OS.

I personally have it on my NAS and use it for every system I have to update (paired with snappy driver installer, an open-source automated driver installer that's not crap-ware). Makes installing systems a total breeze. Probably my most used/loved tool. thumb.gif

Oh, a heads up if you're using it for Windows 7: I highly recommend installing a couple of packages manually first, to prevent the very, very, very slow first updates (thx microsoft!). These packages are:
KB3020369
KB3172605
KB3125574

And then run this code (though a bat file):
Code:
@echo off

And a bit off topic, but also usefull when installing/updating systems: install/update programs automatically without the bloatware with Ninite

I appreciate you trying to help me, but I don't like Win 7, and would be using Win 8.1 if I do roll back from Win 10. :/

Well, Skylake it is then.

Was giving serious thought to a new build soon.

Having used Windows 10 in Virtual Box, I wouldn't want it as my main OS. It really is a pain in the neck. It connects to Internet before it even gets into desktop proper and while it shutdowns. What need is there to do this?

Eh, the sooner MS goes ahead and forces everyone over to Win10, the faster we can finally be rid of these silly Win7/8 vs Win10 flame-fests.

Anyway, its nice to be one of the people that simply enjoys Win10 as a great OS for my PC's and doesn't feel the need to spend every minute of every day constantly trying to find things to be upset about it. thumb.gif

I agree in a way, because then we can all stop pretending MS makes anything but junk.

Now let's stop pretending you don't deliberately look for people upset about things that don't make you upset just for the sake of making you upset. At least try to shill better, MS needs fanboys with commitment, come on!!

While it is sometimes fun to play devils advocate to get into the heads of the pro surveillance camp, its disturbing when you notice just how much they don't care. They're the perfect victims. Its no wonder M$ continues to get away with this behavior while facing minimal backlash.
