Gigabyte G1 Gaming Radeon R9 390 Memory Clock questions.

A little while ago I picked up a Gigabyte R9 390. (This one to be specific: http://www.gigabyte.com.au/Graphics-Card/GV-R939G1-GAMING-8GD#sp)

The program that they shipped with it, OCguru, was very unreliable so I switched to MSI Afterburner. The specifications for this card say that it is quite capable of running the memory clock at 6000MHz but it defaults to 1500 in Afterburner and can't be adjusted higher than 1950.

After double checking in another program that it was indeed running what seems to be a quarter of what it is capable of;

I have tested some games on it and they run really well. I'm not very knowledgeable on this subject and I can't quite shake the feeling that i'm not getting everything out of the card that I can. Am I missing something here?

EDIT: I've just realized i've posted in the wrong subforum too. If a mod could be kind to delete this i'd be grateful, thanks.

GDDR5 has quad data rate. 1500 x 4 = 6000
