Hi everyone Just wondering if it is possible that my CPU is bottle necking my GPU in games likes CSGO i am only getting 50fps, and running unigene Valley my max fps in ultra is 48 consistently at 35. Guild wars 2 i flacutate on High settings at 17-23 fps (not highest settings). During overwatch in high settings my game is very jumpy.

My computer:

A6 6420K ~ 4.4GHz 100% utilization while playing games

600W thermaltake PSU

DDR3 ~ 12Gb @ 1866 Mhz

mobo ~ asrock fm2a88m-HD 3.0

GPU ~ MSI GTX 1050 Ti 40% utilization getting 40fps while cpu is at 100%

I have updated to the newest drivers and yes, My DVI cord is connected to my gpu smile.gif

Look into the FM2+ Athlon series.
Athlon X4 845 - Excavator, 3.5~3.8 GHz, 2 MB L2
Athlon X4 860K - Steamroller, 3.7~4.0 GHz, 4 MB L2
Athlon X4 870K - Steamroller, 3.9~4.1 GHz, 4 MB L2
Athlon X4 880K - Steamroller, 4.0~4.2 GHz, 4 MB L2

Things to keep in mind:
1. 845 has higher IPC, but is harder to overclock and has less cache. It is cheaper and easier on motherboards.
2. 870K and 880K run cooler than 860K. (solder vs paste under the lid)

Yes, dual-cores are useless. Could you afford one of the listed processors?

hmm, I am not able to find any in Australia. Looks like i may need to ship overseas unless there was an alternative.

Not worth it in my opinion. Low clock speed, no overclocking, integrated graphics which you're paying for.
If you can't get anything better, it is an option considering AU prices. Boost clock of 3.8 GHz which it should hold under load.

How long do overseas shipments take, do you know? That may be your best bet if you can't find any used.

There are a couple of 7850k apus on ebay aus for a 100 bucks. Better value than that 7600.
There's also an auction going at the moment also on ebay aus , Bidding is at 50 bucks for a 7850k.
