Corsair K70 RGB LUX issue

I've been through two Corsair K70 RGB LUX keyboards now and both have the same issue: when spamming a key, there is a delay present which causes problems in games where spamming the same key is a thing. This means that if I start spamming a keybind for an ability in a game I play, the game will act like it hasn't been pressed. Spamming keys was not a problem on my older non-mechanical keyboard (Corsair K30).

I have made a video showing how Notepad sees these key presses: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxZt4MpXYVo&feature=youtu.be - in this video, I tested what happens when I spam the "2" key.

I have verified it's not a PC-specific issue because it happens on my older system as well.

I'd like to mention that it is fine for normal typing. I don't see any delays whatsoever. It's only when spamming the same keys that it happens.

The first keyboard had the exact same problem. Amazon sent me a replacement and it, too, has the same issue. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bad batch of keyboards? I don't know.

Have you tried unloading CUE (or uninstalling it) and then set the keyboard into BIOS MODE?
If BIOS mode fixes the problem then you know it's a problem with either CUE or the firmware, and if CUE not being loaded fixes it, you found the problem there too.
If it happens in BIOS mode, return for a refund.

Yeah I've tried without the software installed and it still happened. I've not put the keyboard in "BIOS" mode though. It's currently set to 1. The other numbered settings don't make a difference though.

Both keyboards from Amazon have done this. The weirdest part is there's no reports of it anywhere else online.

Is it possible I'm spamming them incorrectly (too light, for example)? This is my first mechanical keyboard and it uses the Cherry MX Red switches. I've come from a Corsair K30 Raptor keyboard. I mean, it doesn't take much force to make the keyboard recognise a key press, so I just assumed it shouldn't matter if you spam lightly (enough to make it detect input).

It's like, when I am spamming the keys, there are times when the keyboard thinks the key is being held down even though I am still spamming with the same force.

Edit: Uninstalled CUE again and switched to BIOS mode. It still happens.

I have to spam the keys really hard in order to stop the problem. If I spam more lightly, it occurs again.

Ok RMA it for a full refund. This should absolutely not happen at all. it has nothing to do with it being a mechanical keyboard.
Corsair's keyboards sometimes have either defects, or incompatibilities with a system. Just RMA it for a refund.

I recommend trying a Coolermaster Masterkeys Pro L or S, if you like using software for RGB effects. It also has a SDK.
The shine 6 SE/white edition is also good.

Bought it from Currys this time and all is good now. I can spam keys as light as possible and not have them think they're being held down occasionally (which made it seem like it was delaying).

Returned both to Amazon and they're giving a full refund.
