Looking at getting a 4k monitor for both work and gaming. Image clarity/sharpness question...

Thread Starter
Currently I have a 27inch 1080p TN panel monitor at 82PPI which I've had for around 6 or 7 years and would like to make the jump up to a 4k IPS monitor. Not only do I want to move up in resolution to 4k but also in monitor size as well. I am leaning towards a 32inch monitor as I feel for my viewing distance it will not be too big. If my calculations are correct, the 27inch at 4k has roughly around 163PPI while at 32inches it has 137ppi. For image sharpness and clarity is there going to be a noticeable difference between the two monitors (26PPI)? I don't mind staying at the same 27inches im used to if its going to have a noticeable better quality difference over the 32 inch, if not then I'll go with the bigger size monitor. For all of you 4k experts on here, what are your thoughts on this? Thanks.

4k minimum of 32" as you get a better pixel density and no scaling required.
