is it in your manual? spam1.gif2cents.gif

Should be in there. I dont want to throw out numbers as for I had not read up on Ryzen specs lol.

Most of the reviewers are stating 1.45 v is the max safe range for daily use but that kind of vaults needs very good cooling and you get little from it in extra frequency.

If you can manage 4GHz - 4.1GHz across all cores with less than 1.4v then that's a good result. Temps at 75C under stress test loads are ok. You should see 50-60c under normal use though.

Thank you for the info, I think I found something similar to that and some have pushed the CPU at 1.5v but I don't want to get near 1.45 if possible. I think 1.375-1.400v is what I will attemp to play with.

AMD advises 1.35 They strongly suggest that 1.45 may degrade chip lifespan. So whatever you're comfortable with. More than a few pushing 1.45 daily around..

As for temps as far under 95 as possible for your oc target? 95 tctl is where thermal protections kick in, throttling, shutdown.

Thanks!, I been thinking trying to run 3.8Ghz or 3.9Ghz if only it allow me to run 1.375v which I think I will make my max on air cooled with the Noctua NH-D15. biggrin.gif

Thermals have not been an issue, there is a hump usually past 3.8 where power requirements go up very high. A very few hit 4.0 with less than 1.4v. And since we tend to back off we don't really know how many need more than 1.45 to get over 4... Good luck!

Cool thanks, well right now I guess I will not be overclocking. Damn Windows update broke Dual Intelligent Processors 5 Fan Xpert 4. Was working fine but now it dosen't seem to work well and keeps my fans at pretty high levels. I have the Case fan hub connected to the CPU OPT header since when connected to CHA_FAN2 keeps the fans at 60% minimum which causes to much noise. To tired tonight to continue trying to troubleshoot it. It was working prior to this new update which fixed a few things but broke that. mad.gif I tried turning off CHA_FAN2 and it turn off the fan from the CPU. Like seriously?
