memtest86+ stop/completes testing after 2 passes. I want to do at least 8.

How do you I do eternal passes in memtest86+ ? Also, do I press f1, f2, or nothing?

I have a GA-Z170X-GAMING-7 motherboard.

I had used memtest86 before
its less accurate than memtest hci, I was able to pass mem test after overclocking but fail memtest hci.
mem test hci also runs on windows.

I don't know how to properly use memtest hci. I'm reading that it is not user friendly.

you can download the free version for hci.
each memtest runnig will occupy one cpu core and occupy a maximum of 2000mb memory
to stress 8gb of mem open 4 coppies of memtest and make them occupy 2gb each.

Also you want to check that your system has about 500to 1000mb of mem not occupied otherwise your system may crash (using task manager)

How long should I leave it on for? I have 16GB of RAM. looks like it is occupying 1GB less ram than expected.

if it can run for 1 hours or more it should be fully stable.
If you want to be more than sure that it is stable run it for 3 hours

for a quick test during overclocking somewhere from 5 to 15 minutes wouold be good
