Mayhems blitz kit questions

Thread Starter
Hi. So, i'm ordering my parts for my very first watercooling build and i still have a few questions left about cleaning the parts (i am going to do that using mayhems blitz).
No real questions about part one, as i get that radiators will have productions leftovers in them, what i have my doubts on is moslty the part 2.
First things first: do i actually need part 2 at all, on new parts and new system?
Do i need to clean up my pump and blocks BEFORE installing them or do i just need to run the part 2 directly? Or do i actually have to clean the blocks and pump while they're not installed yet on the system and then also clean those all up (via cleaning all my system) using part 2? Is it going to be fine adding the pastel coolant i'm going to use (premix) right after using and flushing the part 2 or do i need to wait for my system to dry?
Actually i also have one minor question regarding part 1: after i removed the part 1 from radiators i simply need to let it dry, am i right?
Sorry asking this many question but i don't really want to screw anything up while cleaning my loop, as this is my first experience with custom loops ph34r-smiley.gif
Thanks in advance!

pt 2 should always be used after using pt 1 on rads since pt 2 helps neutralize the acids from pt 1 (hence the PH strips included in the kit).

pt 2 should be enough of an initial clean for pumps and blocks since those don't usually have any buildup or anything in them when new, used ones should be disassembled and cleaned by hand.

After using pt 1 you will need to fill/rinse the rads thoroughly with distilled water several times and then assemble the loop and flush everything with the pt2

You should not have to let anything dry after flushing out the pt2 several times, You'll want to get as much liquid out of the system as possible before adding the Pastel premix though so it does not get diluted

Can you use part 2 on Nickel plated blocks?

http://www.performance-pcs.com/mayhems-blitz-part-two-only.html#Features

On Performance PCs in the description it says
"For internal use on Copper / Brass radiators only.
Do not use on plated products.
Do not spill on paint work and if you do so, rinse off immediately."

But there is no mention of this on Mayhems' website?
And Mayhems talks about using it to clean the entire system?

Thoughts?

yes I've seen that before and emailed ppcs since I'm pretty sure they just screwed up, they never got back to me. I've always used pt 2 with my nickel plated fittings without issue
