Reusing Old Parts

It's been 2 years since I took my loop apart. During that time, I was pretty stupid and running distilled water + PT nuke + kill coil. I was also running LRT tubing at that time. Recently I got the itch to go back. I took some pictures and not sure if I can use these parts again. I'm also not sure what kind of fluid I could use to prevent this in the future. Any help would be great! thumb.gif

There is no reason not to use any parts aside from their aesthetic issues. Without anti corrosive they will likely just continue to get worse but that isn't a major problem in itself or for any other components.

I see. I plan to only use these to cool my cpu for now. Planning to redo the whole thing when theres a block for strix 1080ti. What kind of fluid do you recommend?

I don't see anything wrong with those parts. Certainly not bad for a 2-year old loop.
CPU block in particular looks good as new.
You could replace flaking fittings but even that doesn't affect much.

Thanks. Glad I posted here. I got people on other forum saying it's corrosion and something else. I'll go ahead and put this loop together. thumb.gif

There is some mild corrosion on the fittings but that doesn't matter. The plating just dissolved back into solution and you have unplated fittings in those sections.

The block looks to be oxidised and that can be left alone or polished up good as new with a little effort.

I have a Koolance CPU-370 waterblock from many years ago - however the nickel on the inside of the block has flaked/corroded.
I'm planning on doing a new build - would it be okay to use this block still? I'd prefer not to buy a new cpu block.
