Upgrading work computer from 7 to 10.

Thread Starter
So I recently just got a new job, with a super small company ( 5 people )

Its a weird situation, but basically I've come to find that my computer I'm working on is not a legal copy of windows 7 and basically everyone is kinda responsible for their own systems. We don't have any in house IT, and don't want to tell the boss to come pay for a tech visit because I done goofed.

I have a spare windows 10 key, so I figured i'd upgrade with it.

I don't know networking stuff, but basically our computers are connected to a server and you have to log in with a password to get onto your system and access our server.

Basically, I want to know if I upgrade ( not full wipe & install ) to 10 from 7, will all my networking stuff be the same? ( ie, turn on computer and enter password and i'm off ) or will there be some set up involved.

I figured before trying i'd clone the hard drive and test, but wondering if anyone had any info before I waste a few hours off the clock at work tinkering.
