Cooling options and best card brands to cool and performance for gtx 1080ti in sli...

Whats the best 1080ti cards out there?
I bought the asus strix 1080ti oc as a single in my portable / office rig which is stupidly cool temp wise but 7700k 5.0ghz with 2x 960 evo m.2 evos in raid, 32gb ram even under hours of 4k benchmarking and gaming. never broke 50c.

And I have my girls rig that has a 5.1ghz 7700k and two fe cards in sli which is working nice but the asus is def a good bit faster in stock oc mode, or turn it up and 90 on clock speed and ram higher wow. This system I plan on leaving air cooled. But I bought the trade in warranty from microcenter as soon as better options became available.

Next I just redid my main daily rig / which was a 6900k but as of today it has a 6950x because they didn't have anymore 6900k. and has 128gb of corsair dominator platinum / rampage v 10th ann edition. and a 1tb 960 m.2 and ssd raid units. ITs got plenty of room to liquid cool the cards if need be. MY main thing is getting as much performance as possible. and utilizing those extra lanes hopefully lol. Water cooling was the thought process.

So which is the best performing card out there. single and for sli - I'm still new to the cards myt prior ones were only reference or msi 970 or down. But the asus strix feels so solid and overclocking seemed so so smooth. , super quiet, I did notice on the rampage board it didn't want to click in all the way as the sata connectors lay flush against the heat shield.
But was thinking Either Amp extreme from zotac, the asus card and I read the gigabyte aurous seems to have a different power system but faster ram throughput. But any and all input welcome.

With the liquid cooling options from ekwb how hard is the plastic tubing to heat and do for the solid, as well is their a difference in plate materials, and cooler mounts? Is the 5 and a 1/4 liquid pod mount or the cylindrical mount better? The case I have has a large window for the 6950 unit. And Id like to put a large holder in for the video cards and and maybe a cylindrical one with the circles or such in it for more aesthetics.

If you plan to liquid cool your cards then the option is easy, you kind of have to go FE otherwise you will have a hard time finding blocks to cool the cards from the third party vendors.
