Like I said earlier, the NCASE doesn't require a $100 riser cable! Stop comparing it to the NCASE. This is a clone of A4-SFX case that currently costs $280 shipped. And read the price breakdowns above I posted.

Well maybe a 100 USD riser cable was a bad idea. Why is that somehow making it an unfair comparison?
But your price breakdown doesn't mention the actual retail price, only the discounted Kickstarter prices. Even fleetfeather got the point by now.

It actually wasn't cheaper for most of us as the exchange rates changed quite a lot (I bought one, so I know this from personal experience). Even so, if you want to stand by the idea that the NCase M1 has remained relatively unchanged in price since launch, then there was even less incentive for backers to back the initial crowdfunding campaign lol.

I haven't talked about the "actual retail price" because there's nothing that I can say about it: it's an estimate the the creators have given, it doesn't apply to anyone yet, and it wouldn't apply to me personally, so I don't really care about it.

What, you're waiting for me to try and justify to you why you should leech off an already-funded project that you don't have to assume any risk for? Newwwwwp

You want to buy retail price? I don't get it. There are over 9,000 slots to buy at the prices advertised above, I think you're just here for argument's sake.

And I just said it twice why it's not a valid comparison. The ncase has a different layout and is a larger case. It doesn't require a riser cable. If you want to compare and critize the price, compare it to the cost of the A4-SFX, as it also requires the same cable for the special 2 zone layout. It's like comparing the same model of a car with a turbo and a car without a turbo. Which do you think will cost cheaper? Do you think it would be fair to cry about the more expensive car with a turbo being more money than the car without the turbo? No, it makes no sense. It's more expensive because it has additional parts that cost more money to manufacture. Common sense might not be so common.

The DAN A4 had the exact same 3M riser cable, and people were happy to pay for it despite the well-known existence of the NCase M1 redface.gif

I think "even fleetfeather" understands that you're arguing for arguments' sake (as @gene-z has just said too)

I already explained this part.

I'm only comparing to the NCASE because fleetfeather said that us stupid OCN users wouldn't do our research about how the price compares to the NCASE. Well, it compares poorly. I understand that quality components cost more and that's fine. Can you not also see my perspective? I don't value the 3 L reduction compared to a Node 202 that much nor the 5 L reduction compared to the NCASE. That's not worth 100 USD to me.

What are you even arguing? You were the one who said the price compared favourably to the NCASE and the A4, but the retail price is higher than both of them. And then because I point that out, gene-z tells me that it's an unfair comparison because of the riser? I haven't said that this case is bad or that no one will buy it. I just said that the Kickstarter goal is high considering the market. The DAN A4 Kickstarter goal was only half as much. Now the A4 is already on the market, making it harder for the Ghost S1 to succeed.

I said it was unfair to compare because you were comparing the price of $325 to $220. Go back and read your own posts.

Which are the actual retail prices including shipping to my location. Wow, that's so unfair.

When I have to repeat for the fourth time of why the case is more expensive than the ncase, I gotta call it quits and throw ya on ignore. You refuse to reason.

And the funny part is, you're in Denmark. NCASE does not include VAT in the price, Ghost does. So your $220 estimate is a bit off when VAT in Denmark is 25%. From NCASE:
Quote:
Q: What about Duty and VAT for shipping to Europe/elsewhere?

A: The buyer is responsible for all fees.

And you also have the possibility of a fee on top of VAT to the shipping supplier for covering VAT for you. I know UPS charges like $30 fee for unpaid VAT, on top of the local VAT fee. And then there is also a possible duty fee.

What I see is two people highjacking a thread, about prices for a product that doesn't really exist yet.

Please try to write and debate about this case... If it's possible,

Also: a DANCASE A4SFX without its flaws? I know I won't ever buy one except if I win tge lottery, but.

Where are those links in the first post, OP ? 😁
