Well, I finally have a free day after work today! At least I'll get overtime haha thumb.gif

So, I ordered a few parts to benchmark some of my older hardware (Athlons and Semprons) which should be here today, but I figured I'll also give my Opteron another whirl. I'm gonna be looking into getting an Engineering sample 6272 or 6276 which should have unlocked multipliers that can be adjusted via power states.

I'll bench the Opteron with my spare Fury X. Right now I just plan to do Cinebench, 3DMark and Passmark Performance Test.
If anyone has a benchmark they'd like to see on this hardware let me know.

EDIT:
Got a little ahead of myself and went ahead and got an ES tongue.gif
I'm super excited to see how it clocks!

That's awesome man... I wish they had ES 1389 Unlocked... LMK if you find one for me?

Yeah I'd like to See AIDA Suite benchmarks... AIDA GPGPU CPU & GPU Compute... CPU Queen.. and CPU Cache Memory benchmark

Tweak the fury x a bit... does anyone BIOS mod those cards or all running stock and really not crazy fast? If they BIOS modded it.. it would scream I'm sure... like 25% more everything out of it...

Send me your BIOS .rom I'd like to give Fiji a Whirl... it's the same editor as Hawaii... which is a breeze I have a ton of experience we can speed that thing up a lot I'm sure....

Yeah I can keep my eyes out. Just an FYI, normally the engineering samples on eBay aren't labeled as "6276" or "6272", they're labeled as "AMD 16-core Engineering Sample" along with the serial number. So you kinda have to dig a little bit to find the one you want. Normally, I match up the core count, base clock and turbo clock to get a good idea of what CPU I'm looking at

Does AIDA cost? I've had trouble getting it in the past.

All of my Fury X's are BIOS modded already for increased power draw and voltage biggrin.gif
My Fury X's in my 1800x build are able to bench at 1230MHz GPU and 630MHz HBM which is pretty good from what I've seen.
I can shoot you my rom if you want though thumb.gif

@ chris89, 4.0 with a 1389 impressed!

Have played with a 1385 & 89, the 85 being the better CPU averaging about 100Mhz more on the benches ran and using about 0.1 less volts to do it (not a large sample to say the 85s are generally better).

Wouldn’t of thought to run 3D with the AMDs so have no data and the only bench I’ve ran that’s been used in this thread CB15.

http://hwbot.org/submission/3192294_aleslammer_cinebench___r15_opteron_1385_385_cb

As for the 771 Xeons have a 5460 & 70 but for some reason both were furnaces and couldn’t keep them cool enough with the setup I was using to get them where I wanted to be.
