Just for a comparison with a little newer hardware, here's my cache & memory test from my i7-2600 with ddr3 12800 4x4Gb.

Thought U might like to see how the Opteron compares on each lvl.

For sure man... I mean I don't know about you but these Opteron numbers...are... ? When overclocked ya know

Can we see some 3.6-3.7.3.8Ghz CPUz Bench on LGA 771? Thanks

Quick and dirty smile.gif

Same settings as @4,23GHz I simply lowered multiplier.

AIDA64 CPU Cache Memory?

It's insane how the P35 is like 4x faster than the 790i I tested... E5450 at 3.6-3.8 wasn't breaking 30,000 CPU queen... interesting.. haha P35 is the best huh?

Hey take my Opteron AIDA CPU Cache Memory & Compare it .. like a Collage in Paint haha

The p35 is nice, but has the voltage droop issue. That's 1 reason why alot of people are willing to spend more on the p45's (along with some supporting ddr3). My p35 with the xeon @ 3.83 only pumped 32,451 in cpu queen. So not that much more than the 790i U mentioned.& remember,I've been tweaking this for close to a year.wink.gif

Right on hahaha your P35 is like 15-20% faster clock for clock than 790i I tested... even to like 3.8Ghz was only like 26,000 cpu queen... It just wasn't making huge strides...

I'm working on the opteron trying to get some results... I find the Vulkan performance to be way lower on the latest 3dmark & latest AMD drivers than on 17.1.2 and 3dmark 1.5... On Vulkan is like 3-4 million less score on latest... remember I hit over 9 million Vulkan in Win7 on v1.5 3mark on AMD 17.1.2... Though DX11, DX12 did go up just about 900,000 ... Better than 733,000 on Win7...

Still testing... wanna break 1,000,000 on dx11/ 12 API Test hahahaha

@AgentX007 ... Nearly 5,000 CPUz MultiThread... No one can compete with that hahahahahahahaha

Watch he's gonna post 4.5Ghz and it's gonna be like 7,500 CPUz Multi Thread biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifrolleyes.gif

I need a Phenom II Black Edition X4 965 (Made 2009) ... to compete since it's Unlock starting out at 3.4Ghz.... Opteron is locked and has a freaky memory multiplier at least the board does... haha I have a window of 1333-1400 on the ram for max performance... like 3.6-3.9ghz basically on 880G

Only thing the Opteron does well on is L1 Cache is nearly the same if not better clock per clock than Intel Xeon and Nearly 2x the memory bandwidth... haha

I have more test stuff coming.. comparing drivers on API Overhead atm...

I just noticed I'm using x32 CPUz... is x64 show higher scores? Maybe haha

The Hypertransport & Northbridge doesn't matter on these pretty much Intel benchmarks...

From 2100Mhz HT/ NB to 2750Mhz up to 2900Mhz is nearly 10GB/s more memory bandwidth... will have tests for that as well... 3dmark firestrike

At 4Ghz I saw just about 400 Single Thread & 1525 Multithread roughly

@Tnlgg 4700Mhz hahaha that's an epic score for sure... I'm only near 2900 on 3.6Ghz... Maybe 3500-3700 at 3.8-3.9Ghz...

According to the math for the Opteron to hit 6200.... Would need 212% more clocks... 7,685Mhz Core clock hahahahaha

You have RX 580,why,its no upgrade from RX 480?
