Logitech announces G413, a cheaper ROMER-G keyboard at US$90

It's a clean board of the general G610 / G810 design, but media keys are stuffed with the F-keys, and appears to be even more compact. There is no RGB lighting, with Logitech opting for red backlight instead of the more "traditional" blue or white.

Otherwise it looks like a decent board if you liked ROMER-Gs, but was waiting for a less expensive option.

I'd even say it would have made for a great office keyboard, if it weren't for the red LEDs. Why not white, Logitech?

i actually like this keyboard alot! and the silver keyboard got white lighting (read their page) smile.gif

Not a fan of Logitech Keyboards, or Romer-G Switches, or Full-size, OR low-profile but with that aside, this is my favorite Logitech keyboard yet.

It is nice to see them avoid of the "gamer" look and just release a clean, no frills, and not extremely overpriced keyboard.

i have no experience using romer-g at all.. but i know ALOT of people rather use mx switches instead,
So i guess people rather buy hyperx alloy fps or corsair strafe instead.. but it looks really nice

Build quality and materials seem much higher than that of the G pro.
I wish they made a 60% or 75% like this. Then I'd buy it. I just like the feel of the Romer for both gaming and typing. I think it's great.
It does somewhat feels like a membrane keyboard but not in a negative way. I think people often say this due to the absence of pretravel before the tactile "bump" happens.

Here it happens as soon as you press the key. It's unique afaik

And also there is a built-in internal damping of the downstroke so there is no "clack" sound like on MX switches, it's more a low pitched "thock". People call this mushy, I dont agree.
If anything, I'd like the upstroke to be damped as well. I'm a bit biased cos I'm more of a silent keyboard kinda guy

if they made this with cherry switches i'd grab a silver one right now

I like the minimal approach. thumb.gif It might make a decent bargain board if the build quality is good. I'd like to see a TKL version personally. smile.gif

Even TKL is a waste of space, 75% is the way to go

yeah its strange that this budget romer-g board looks better than the higher priced ones. hope the g413 style replaces the all plastic 910/810/410/pro. g413 pro, i can see it already.
