EK-Supremacy EVO X99 and Broadwell E

Thread Starter
Please forgive me if this has been answered someplace else, I have searched quite a bit but came up empty.
I have already purchased and unboxed (not yet mounted as I am still measuring the loop) an EK-Supremacy EVO X99 with a Broadwell E processor and wanted to verify it is compatible? There is no indication on EKWB shop that there is a compatibility issue with Broadwell E and this particular block. I am asking because the EK-Supremacy EVO Elite Edition 2011-3 is specifically stated to not be compatible with Broadwell E processors. I can see that the mounting procedure is different but would not expect one way to be different in such a way to cause one to be incompatible while the other is compatible.

Thank you for your time!

It will work just fine - they appear to be indicating the TIM is not compatible not the block itself:

Caution: The TIM Indigo Xtreme is a platform dependent applicator. Please use the appropriate type for your CPU type! For Intel LGA-2011-3 socket CPUs only! Not compatible with LGA-2011-3 Broadwell-E socket CPUs!

You're fine.

The only incompatibility in the Elite version is the TIM used. Everything else is compatible.

Since you don't have the Elite version, you'll use normal TIM and be fine. thumb.gif
