Yup. First 50k gets the $99 deal though so best hurry.

Thread Starter
So I've had a sporadic lightning port issue not charging properly on my iPhone now for a couple weeks. Have appointment for repair this Saturday at Sprint. My cell phone is paid off and I have a full protection plan.

If iPhones allowed for wireless charging on a pad I could have bypassed my problem. Just another reason for me to switch.

Excited I will be able to view the Galaxy first hand. Hope I can resist getting an S8+ lease.

For those of you with an S8+, how dose it feel in your pocket and what case did you get?

I personally like otterbox symmetry on all my phones. Thin but very durable case with plastic sides that slides into your pocket without rubber edges like defender that make it difficult to pull out of pocket easily.

I keep playing around with my S8+, and I can tell you that it is a FAST phone. I get little hitches here and there (unlike my iPhone), but I think the screen more than makes up for it.

Also, I'm really happy that Best Buy ran their promotion to get $100 off pre-orders. That means, I got this S8+ for exactly the same price as my 128GB iPhone 7 (not plus).

Very impressed so far. Will keep up on posting my impressions.

Welcome to the club! So far performance is about on par with my iPhone 7+ which has it's own quirks at times. Weird considering my iPhone 6+ ran smooth as butter at all times.

Hi there guys!! So I've been thinking of pulling the trigger on an S8.... But...

I have a really quick question for someone who already has their S8 In hand

What is the MAXIMUM Shutter speed in Pro Mode on the camera?

If you could PLEASE Navigate to the camera, Go to settings and activate pro mode, There should be a few settings ISO, And Shutter Speed should be two of them, Im looking for the LARGEST value of shutter speed, it should be somewhere between 10-60 Scroll past all the 1/100 1/10 1/2 and get to the whole second values and just let me know what the highest number is! :-)

Thanks to anyone who could take the time to answer this for me! The S7 Had a max of 10 seconds... Would love to see it get bumped up to 20-30 or even (GASP) .... ONE MINUTE?! (Or is there a BULB setting?)

Got it from T-mobile preorder on the 19th.
It feels much faster than the S7 edge. However I do hope for a few improvements for the iris scanner:
1: You need to stay within certain distance to the scanner, and this range is pretty narrow.

2: You must face the screen nearly perpendicularly. So you can't look at your phone at an angle while doing the iris scanning. People usually hold the phone in a way such that your head & the phone surfaces have about 30-ish degree angle instead of directly facing the screen surface. This is a problem partially because the iris scanner is at the top portion of the phone. If our eyes are located at our upper forehead, this would not be a problem...I think moving the iris scanner to the bottom will make it much better.

3: The iris scanner won't work while you are walking. So to unlock the phone while moving, you need to either stop and position your eyes correctly, or use pin or fingerprint scanner instead. I guess this can be solved with a faster scanner.

4: While the phone is locked and in the always-on screen, you can unlock it directly into the home screen using the fingerprint (without seeing the notification screen). To use the iris scanner, you must press some button to go into the notification screen first, then scan to unlock. So the process is not very seemless. An ideal situation is that as soon as you pick up the phone(in the always-on screen state), and look at it, it should scan and unlock you into the home screen. I understand to fully accomplish this, it might require something like always-on iris scanner, but I guess when in the always-on screen state, a setting such as start-iris-scanning-when-gyro-sense-the-phone-is-pick-up would be nice,

For such a new feature, these drawbacks are understandable of course.
