Ah yes, I forgot. Every website has its own app now.

I would like to make some kind of program that dynamically installs and uninstalls website apps when needed. It will be like the regular world wide web, but a lot clunkier and data mine-ier.
I think Quiet Comfort actually has a micro-processor doing active noise cancellation and legitimate firmware to update, not that that excuses the app.

QuietComforts have tiny microphones all throughout the headphone that constantly monitor the surrounding noise and a microprocessor that's constantly trying to counter said surrounding noise by pumping the opposite frequencies through the drivers. The processor also does some clever equalization, hence why QC's sound like absolute crap when you turn off ANC or the battery runs out.

It's a genius principle really, but unfortunately they started abusing it now.

I fully expect every single industry to attempt it at some point. IoT is just a means of calling home will all your info. Mo info mo money.

Oh, it's that "consumer electronics" store chain that's going out of business now because you went in to buy a capacitor and they tried to sell you a cell phone.

They still can be. Audio Technica still makes real studio headphones.

Eh. Pioneer's are quite nice as well. Though not so much geared towards studios.

Never tried those. I mainly just use my AT-M30s for monitoring while recording or mixing though. Sound seems pretty accurate.

Bose and Beats are a joke though. Especially when you can get the M30 for 50 or 60$.

I had free money and asked the good people in Fry's which headphone to buy. They pushed me hard toward a Bose QC 35, but once I saw that the Sennheiser Momentums were the same price, I grabbed those.

Frys: "But those don't have noise cancelling."
Me: "I don't care, these will sound better."
Frys (as she goes back to her supervisor): "This guy's turning down the Bose headphones. Nobody does that."
Me: Enjoying the Senns
