After seeing reports of two generations of HOF cards going "POOF!" I'd be reluctant to snag one of these no matter how much it might complement a similarly colored build.

Techreport actually did an article on them a few years back. I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT: HERE

Read that again, Palit owns the brands and is #1 in 2015. Colorful does not, and is #2.

i'm definitley not buying a GPU in 2017 with a DVI port.

And 2016 wants it's sillyness back.

D-L DVI is perfectly fine and will allow a lot of people to still use their monitors for the foreseeable future. It is still a digital connection with no downsides to adding it.

VGA (popularity circa '05-'08) actually had a reason to get rid of it.

I honestly dont see the point of third party AIB cards like this, 3x 8pins? Why? The card has a soft-limit that requires voiding the warranty...no one other-
Than hardcore overclockers will be able to exceed 2100-2200mhz and be stuck at a wall..its pointless for average joe consumers, you are better off-
Getting a reference card and sticking a waterblock on it and getting the same result for cheaper...

For overclocking enthusiasts I can see the use of a power delivery like this, because they will just hard mod the card to exceed its software limitations,-
But why bother with this gawdy cooler, when it`ll just be removed for an ln2 pot?

Cards like this are begging for LN2, Galax should just supply a bare PCB card, ready to break some records.

The argument made was whether Colorful owned the GALAX, Gainward, Palit and Point of View brands. They do not, but the power of the Asian market remains unchallenged biggrin.gif

Looks like a serious case of lopsided overengineering.

You need to let that stuff go. Everything you believe to be important when it comes to these products is misguided. I've been reading your posts in the AM4 VRM thread.
