True. But we thought the same about summit ridge as well.

They might just do it, and might give a serious blow to Intel's HEDT platform.

Before that, it would give serious blow to their own financials lol. It is not like they are just ducktaping 2 8 cores together with their 16 cores.

Maybe they're able to make a profit at those prices, it's hard to say.

I made someone eat their hat on Ryzen 7 pricing.

Do you have hats?

$849 for 16 core.

Please. I can't see it being below $1k . Only a $400 gap between their top of HEDT and mainstream products. They won't be able to squeeze in all their SKUs in between.

I think that they would sell quite a few R9 Ryzen if they price the lineup between $700-$1300 (10 core-16-core). That is assuming that the platform specs are true (44 pci-e lanes and quad channel memory), hopefully they are true and the platform is fairly equal to X299. I would prefer they have 8 and 6 cores as well for those who want the platform for gaming.

Needless to say Intel's nightmare has only begun with Ryzen 5 and 7. I'm sure it'll blow my i7 6800K away easily. I really want that 14 core unit.
