That's just fine but it doesn't sit well with the COD community.

Here's what people want:

-No weapons in the supply drop...AT ALL!
-Real dedicated servers and not this hybrid crap.
-Higher tick rate servers
-Remove SBMM (skill based matchmaking) and prioritize location!
-Boots on the ground.

The current state of COD is bad. Above lists the main concerns and gripes with the series since Advanced Warfare.

If any of you have not played COD in the last few years, it's not the era that has killed the series.

It's the era AND everything else I listed.

I get what many here are saying. But if there's 100 different people posting here in this thread I doubt 10 of you actually play the game anymore. Understandably so!! But the series has some serious issues well beyond what year or war (fictional or not) the game is set in.

This is my favorite series of all time. WE know what the game needs to thrive again. It'll take more than the titles setting to bring back the player base and the crack addiction that was once COD.

It would be awesome if it's game mechanics were like Brothers In Arms HH... With the Squad Leader issuing commands to separate teams "Alpha/ Gamma/ Delta" etc... Like B I A : HH in the way that you choose how to complete an objective, not point A to B. Rather A-Z options or similar... Where your on the radio with different squads who are up to a mile away on their objective you assign to them.

That would make this game a blockbuster because you could play the game over 10-20 times and just go a different route like assign yourself an objective from which was assigned to say "Team Delta". You know like TNT a huge bridge and watch it collapse with physics and what not. Although objectives and what not are not always a must is what would give it a twist... Rather than requiring you to complete it one way, you could if you wished and circumstances were dynamic you could get into a tank and shoot out the bridge or use a rocket launcher instead. Where the rockets/ tank rounds would ping ding off and watch it go flying in another direction... Possibly exploding a near by barn or car/ jeep goes flying on accident... *Funny* haha

As far as COOP similar to Gears Of War... That part where you had to hold the spot light on your friend so he/ she could move forward and had to use Teamwork to get anything done. Makes it feel a lot better.

Not to mention over-head air support P-51's that blaze across the sky overhead and even see dog fights in the sky with P-51's going flat out and shooting into a 90 degree angle spiraling through the clouds and watch the clouds swirl as it goes through. haha *Only Thoughts. Not to mention accurate and almost jaw dropping Depth Perception like the planes and objects/ physics look like they are booking it and at a distance the noise and rumble in the sky (Sound Design with reverb galore).

I would. Potentially far more satisfying than bullet spam, but much more difficult to pull off, especially in first person.

Clearly not....which is why the Assassins Creed series sells so badly. biggrin.gifrolleyes.gif

I think it could work especially if they focused on artillery. Probably not for CoD but for a multiplayer FPS in general.

I have read all the post until now so i could say all in 1 post.

1st i'm not a CoD player, (or wasn't but i will get to that later on) played the campaigns of some of the first ones and that was it. I have always been a UT player but only the original since i didn't like the changes in gear they made in the next UT's after the '99's GOTY.

For my liking there isn't a MP FPS like the original UT for over a decade. Quake was the most similar but even that hasn't been up to par imo, maybe Quake champions will change that. Currently i have been waiting for the new UT4, in pre-alpha for years now, and since that isn't good yet, lot of issues for EPIC's DEVs take care of, i had a itch i couldn't scratch. So i went shopping and found CoD:IW with the MW remake for a low price so i gave it a shot. That was in January, logged over 450 hours on it since then and i intend to spend much more then that.

I won't say CoD:IW is a great FPS, it isn't specially in the weapon balance department, those scorestreaks should just disappear from the game as 1shot kill weapons, with the exception of HS with a sniper, should also be gone.
Jetpacks, imo, make for a more challenging game. Those sort of, almost, unpredictable moves are one of the things that made the original UT the great game it was. Look at the online FPS that currently have the biggest player base, OW, and you will see that the 3 dimension movement is integral to the gameplay, why ppl want more limited movement back is beyond me.

As to story, imo it's a wrong move to go back to WW2, unless they making a fictional war scenario it rockteer's jetpack in the mix. No more laser beams/energy weapons but imo that's fine.

A last note, ppl, don't say something is trash if you only gave it 1 try a long time ago. Things change, and CoD:IW did wink.gif
