Yeah exactly. cod is a shooter with guns, so there's no place for those in cod, but yeah maybe people would love a game based on mongol wars, just not cod or probably no other shooter.

I have the first three of the series and those were great, was fun to find and use the custom maps made for doing matches between teams.

I have to agree that this could be good...... Or bad depending on HOW it's done. The era itself isn't as important as it's playability/fun factor and maybe this time they'll have it like the older versions had it.
BTW speaking of WWII being done to death, yeah I have to say there are a ton of those out there but how many of these are based on WWI?

I don't recall that era being covered nearly as much (If at all really) and would be an interesting approach..... However it still has to be done right regardless of the setting used.

I find no proof of this, also it's not something feasible on a call of duty game cmon guys, seriously.

Its been suggested that this actually was the case, as early as 1241 AD (there I go again).

That aside, the COD brand is worn out and so is any trust I had left in the developers. You could offer me money to play that trash and I'd pass on principle.

I have some suggestions for Activation regarding themes of future COD games. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
1) Call of Duty: Rise in Weapons of Mass Destruction.
2) Call of Duty: Obama's Retribution.
3) Call of Duty: Ultimatum: Grab em by the...

This is actually true, namely stolen Chinese rudimentary firearms.

Many CoD players never played anything prior to CoD 4, so it's new to them. For those that did, it's a bit of nostalgia. Both are good selling points.

I don't think so. It would have no automatic firearms. Battlefield 1 threw historical accuracy out the window to make sure everyone could get automatic firearms. That's what people want to use.

Then again, given the BF1 precedent they might just add them anyway tongue.gif

Lol, you said show a more important war, I did. tongue.gif

Medivial first person combat has been done quite a few times, very well too. It wouldn't be too far of a leap to do the same with Mongol Of Duty.

tbo though i do love me some genghis history.

I'd say COD is a projectile FPS and there were lots of projectile weapons in the 1200's/1300's. Both handheld and otherwise. Seeing an "automatic" crossbow" wouldn't be totally nuts. tongue.gif

Actually, featuring it during that war could take a series in a MUCH more interesting and different direction by focusing more on melee weapons. Maces, broadswords, daggers, etc.

Sounds like fun to me. yessir.gif
