thermaltake Water block not seating properly on my graphics card

just bought this
Thermaltake CL-W134-CU00TR-A Pacific V-GTX 10 1080/1070 Founders Edition Nickel Full Cover Transparent GPU Water Block with back plate
and this card
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE DirectX 12 11G-P4-6390-KR 11GB 352-Bit GDDR5X PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support FOUNDERS EDITION Video Card
got everything ready to assemble everything but ran into an issue with the 8+6 plug.
the cutout in the clear plastic is too short now because of that 6 pin connector the board isn't seating down like it should.
anyone ran into that issue? please let me know.
thanks

That block is for reference model 1080/1070s not 1080ti. The former only have a single 8 pin and not the 8+6 that the 1080ti uses.

Also the vram and vrm placement seems to be different so even if it sat flush it still wouldn't cool all the necessary parts anyway.

Any founder edition card regardless of manufacturer should work with that block.
