Need some advice if my 480mm radiator is enough??

Hello!

I am new and just built my first water cooled rig. It's been working great. I started to stress is with Ashes of Singularity today and wow the coolant started to get really warm. The max temp read by CPU1 connected to the water block was 65 degrees celsius.

What struck me as odd when I felt the 480mm thermaltake pacific radiator it was really warm at the bottom buy the fins seemed very cool. I would have expected them to feel a little warm. Maybe not.

The cooling loop goes like this:

Idle it runs about 34-36 degree celsius and jumps to 65 when running Ashes of Singularity.

Thermaltake Reservoir 300ml with D5 pump ->
Intel i7K-6850 ->
EVGA GTX 1080 FTW ->
Thermaltake 480mm radiator ( with 4 fans ) ->
Back to the reservoir

I just want to make sure this is working.

My thoughts are if it is able to keep up with the heat then maybe I need to add another 240mm radiator. I found it hard to spec out the proper heat distribution.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Yes my 90degree angle with the PETG tubing is to be desired. It was my first time! smile.gif

CPU seems good. How are the temps on the card? The 480mm is enough.

I would guess a 480 is plenty of radiator.

What is a good software to check GPU temps? The MSI software that comes with the motherboard is so-so and doesn't have GPU Temp.

THANK YOU FOR answering.

GPU Temp doesn't seem to get much past 52 degrees Celsius.

MSI AB or GPU-Z. Temps of the GPU looks good. So all around sound system with the 480mm rad!

Just to make sure. You have gotten all the air out of the system right? So you dont have a trapped air bubble in the rad somewhere, cause a 480 should be more than enough
