I am searching for a quality, smart outlet that can be program to turn on every x hour(s) and run for x minute(s) and off and able to loop through this schedule.

I saw some like Wemo mini, TP-Link smart outlet, etc. but they don't seem to be able to support the complex schedule that I want. I see that they support schedule like turn on at this time and off at this time, but I am not sure if I can program multiple schedules for the same device or better to program a single schedule to do what I want.

In addition, I see that they either require a smart hub or a smartphone to control them. Not sure if they will support the schedule program requirement that I want. All I see browsing around is that they support simple scheduling like the out of the box typical smart outlet.

Therefore, I am looking at getting a Raspberry Pi that I can get linux installed and get an outlet that support some APIs that I can use some cronjob to program it.

If anyone has better ideas, please recommend. Thanks.
