Msi KRAIT vrs MSI pro carbon x370

Thread Starter
I had my eye on the MSI x370 krait for my 1600 cpu but noticed that the pro carbon went on sale on both NCIX and newegg for 10 dollars off.

for 20CAN more I can get the MSI pro carbon.

Trying to find out major difference between the two boards besides RGB stuff haha.

VRMS different? on board audio?

Are MSI boards still having problems with long post times?

any feedback would be great thank you smile.gif

2nd M.2 slot , better audio ALC 1220, Intel LAN, and a less gaudy silk screen for starters

The X370 Pro Carbon and B350 Pro Carbon have the same VRM , audio, LAN (and is supposedly $135 USD) so the big reason to go for X370 Pro Carbon is the 2nd M.2 Slot unless you run SLI

I really don't think the $140 X370 SLI PLUS (same as Krait Gaming more or less but with cheaper capacitors at VRM, no audio shielding) and $150 Krait Gaming are worth the money at this point due to the audio & lack of 2nd M.2 setting it apart from other X370 boards, especially not with the X370 Pro Carbon having been discounted to $160-170.

Hrmm so no real point to bother with the krait at the price difference.

Only MSI board (B350 x370) I would avoid is the B350M Gaming Pro which is a 3 phase. All of the other MSI boards are a 4 phase. Except for the titanium which is a 6.

How about the post times? Have they improved at all recently? What are people getting for the MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon or, if anyone has it yet, for the MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon?

Thanks

post times so far on latest bios on X370 pro carbon seem pretty quick to me.

No complaints
