TT Riing Premium RGB controller software doesn't work

Hi All,

Just finished my Martian Hori(zen) build yesterday, and it works beautifully, until it gets hot. Then I would like to add a bit more juice to my fans, which are now sadly uncontrollable thanks to the crappy software not recognizing my 6 fans(on two rads). This is of course a nightmare, and I really need to push more hot air out. I have read on their forums that something on the Ryzen platform is preventing their fan control software to work properly. I was thinking of hooking up a laptop with two micro usb connectors to the fan controllers to control them like that.

But maybe one of you great people have already encountered this problem in the past, and found a workaround in one way or another. On their forums, I could see that I'm not the only one, but I would really hate(to the extend of never buying anything Thermaltake ever again) to tear down my petg loop which runs beautifully...

Cheers!

*edit*

Tried controlling them with a laptop and write to its memory, seemed to have worked fine and my fans are now running at acceptable speeds and noise levels. Still ****ty that I cannot do it over the onboard header but at least they work, which is as much as I can hope for for now.

Just putting it here in case it helps someone else.

Those so called premium fans are pure garbage. I have a bunch & none of them work correctly(Replaced them with Corsair ML Pro). Basically the software is horribly designed (Their forums is nothing but people complaining about the software) & the controller box has allot issues.

It's best to avoid ThermalTake at all cost.

Any questionable hardware should be purchased from Amazon in case of instances like this. I just purchased 6 of the Riing Plus Premium fans. They are some of the most beautiful fans out there. It's too bad Corsair doesn't have software controllable fans or I would go with them instead.

I have the ML Pro fans in my other build. Unfortunately they are only one color.

I have 8 of them running no problems 3 140mm and 5 120mm, all of them plugged into the asus formula mobo. Had issues with them shutting down the leds until i found the right plugs.
i just tested all the plugs for voltage and took the ones with the highest available, 6 days now at 24/7 and no issues.
I don't think heat is the issue I think power draw is the problem

Hi, I hope you can help me with some advice. Just finish my build and I am using 6 Thermaltake Ring Plus 120 on 2 radiators. My understanding is that they can be PWM controlled but the connector cable is a USB so nothing plugs into my PWM Fan headers on the motherboard. Is the PWM signal taken from the USB header or I'm missing something.

Thanks

Daniel
