Gigabyte RX 480 G1 Gaming 4GB BIOS Question.

Hi,

bit of a long shot this and not really life or death, but... I have a pair of the above cards and although they are the same model they are doing odd things here and there, regarding the LED's and remembering overclocking settings and very high temps for the top card.

Having read about high temps being solved by updated BIOS (F7 for the 8GB cards), I checked Gigabytes site and downloaded their update tool and latest 4GB BIOS (F5). It says it is suitable for cards with Micron memory with BIOS revisions from F1-F4. The 8GB cards are on F8 and they have Samsung memory.

So I removed the 2nd card and flashed the top one from F4 to F5, job done.

I then removed the top card and repalced it with the 2nd card, only to find that this card had a BIOS revision of FZ0, and according to GPUZ, Hynix memory. I can only find 1 reference to FZx BIOS's for the RX480 via google, and that's an unverrified file on Techpowerup. Anyone got any light to shed on this? Has someone already put a custom BIOS on the card? Is it from another region (I'm in the UK). Both cards were bought new from the same supplier.

Thanks for any help.

Edit; just to add GPUZ reports both cards as having hynix memory.
