On they forum official staff said the TE version will use an optical sensor.

What I find very interesting is that the beam direction is actually diagonal rather than x & y.

I'm using a Kinzu still, I'm just very curious of this new shape, I probably won't use it for long at all though, it will be yet another one of those mice that go into the bin on day one I'm sure, given that it's made by Razer.
