Eizo FG2421 today?

how does it fare in comparison to "modern" panels? are the colors washed up? any desaturation on the edges?

I can still get one for 250$, fairly unused, can you tell me if it's worth it ?

the only modern competitor, C24FG70, offers weaker contrast, worse build and unnecessary curve.

The Samsung C24FG70 only costs 280$ new and is superior to the FG2421 in every way. The Eizo has low sRGB color space coverage (<90% vs Samsung 99% or 125% depending on which mode is used), more gamma shift, very bad panel uniformity (especially the right side of the panel), slower pixel response times and higher input lag too.

The lower contrast ratio doesn't matter given how bad the FG2421's uniformity is and fact that the differences will only be obvious under very dim lighting conditions, plus all non-OLED look terrible if used in the dark with with high display brightness.
