Yes! It's alive! It's alive!! Whahahahahaha!

The custom cables, came in today and with that, the final piece to my setup and it sounds fantastic compared to anything I have used in the past.

And we're all done!

Thanks for viewing and watching me build this up! redface.gif

the left speaker doesnt looks safe for me.. consider to move them inside a bit (in expense of narrower staging)?

also, for better staging height, i recommend you a small desk stand like isoacoustics ISO-L8R155

The tweeters will be closer to eye level, stereo imaging should improve.
Get some blu/black tac make 8 nice sticky balls and stick 4 under each speaker to
secure and isolate them from the desk surface.

Nice system. I myself run a Teac UD-503 DAC pushing a pair of Audioengine A5+ powered speakers. In the future I plan on getting the Airmotiv 6S speakers.

The headphones are Sennheiser's HD700.

Anyway how do you like your speakers?

I would put them on the same level as the monitor but a few things. First, with them being as close as they are, I am able to enjoy that in your face experience. It's very feeling considering I no longer have a sub, albeit that the sub I did have sucked. Second, I cannot fit them on the same level as the monitors without them being blocked by the monitors when I have all three monitors up there. I returned my other monitor in preparation for the new 4k one from ASUS.

I would get the 6S speakers too but they are not really for an in your face experience. They are just too big and wouldn't even fit on my desktop where the 5S's are now.

I noticed your speakers are on their sides. I was told by Emotiva to specifically do not do that because the sound is altered so much when that happens.

Where size is a concern considering my desk space is the only reason I don't have them (6S) now. As for my speakers lying on their sides it's to get better music clarity considering they sit very close to me. Were the further apart and I had a bit more desk space, I might have them sitting straight up.

That said, considering my desk space, and where my current speakers are, were the Airmotiv able to fit that space, I'd also have them lying on their sides. And yes, the sound does alter, thus the reason I have mine on their sides versus straight up as explained above.

Anyway I've had that desk you see in my image since 1998 and it wasn't built for large monitors and speaker systems. My monitor is already too big to fit in the space behind it which was built for at most a 21 inch monitor. The one on my desk is 24 but I'd like to get a 27. I plan on getting a new work area latter on this year.

Thanks.
