Remaining Custom Loop Questions

The first picture shows a top down view. The second picture gives a much better 3D view of what's going on.

 

Green line = tubing. Black lines from fans = PWM cables. Merge into red 4 way splitter to go into fan controller. Some cables and tubing go from the middle compartment, behind the shelf, up to the top of the shelf where the case and other 2 rads sit.

 

Fan Cable Length: Silent Wings 3 have cable length of almost 20 inches so are not long enough to reach everything. The fan controller only has 4 fan headers but I have 26 fans. I think a 4 way PWM splitter will work. (https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-cable-splitter-4-fan-pwm-extended) So each side of a radiator fits into one of these 4 way splitters. Due to math, I have to combine some 4 way PWM splitters. If any cable should be too short I will extend the 4 way PWM splitter with a normal PWM extension. If I extend each individual fan's cable that quadruples the amount of extensions to use and increases clutter and cost. (http://www.performance-pcs.com/ek-cable-pwm-fan-extension-30cm.html). 

Two Pumps: I am going with two pumps. I am ignoring the well-measured Eisepumpe due to QC problems and possible manufacturing defect. Instead I am looking to run two EK pump+top combos in serial.

So that's one fitting, goes through a short tube, into another fitting, into the pump. There is the option of a dual pump unit, but it measures slightly worse on Thermalbench and has no sleeving on the cables which is ugly.

Fittings: I am going off of the assumption that the compression fitting EK recommends for my tubing (https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-acf-fitting-13-19mm-black-2) will be the one fitting I will use for ALL parts of the loop that needs a fitting. IS THIS CORRECT?

 

In red are all the places that the fitting will be used.

1- 16 fans ?
2- you can't hook a plitter over another splitter : the pwm signal will be weakened
you can be lucky or the fans will start to behave oddly
3- if the fittings and the tube are from the same company (yes they are) they are compatible
4- 19mm fitting is pretty big beaware of tight spot
5- if you are avoiding double-pumps top for the sleaving... you should drop this project altogether

Thanks for the reply. The amount of fans is 26. 4 per side of a 560mm rad, push pull makes 8 per rad. 3 rads of 8 fans each makes 24. 2 more for basic motherboard airflow.

 

Managing to cram 26 fans into a fan controller with 4 fan headers (even the Aquaero 6 has only 4) seems tough. Maybe I can pull the 2 motherboard fans to the motherboard header. That still makes 6 fan cables per fan header on an Aquaero.

 

Hmm, without the gear in my house I dunno if there would be clearance issues.

sorry I didn't and I don't understand your sketches, but I should had seen the bill-list...

the weakening of the pwm signal is something real, not my imagination
and you should take it in account

possible tight spots:
- distance between waterblock's ports
- distance between rad's ports and fan shoulder

so much rad surface / fans are useless and counterproductive :
- you won't see temperature improvments
- you won't have a quieter system because the noise of so much fans will sum up and be higher then "less fasn at slightly higher rpm"
instead of 1rad+fans you can buy another GPU, more ram, NVMe ssd, keyboard+mice, ...

edit to your edit:
seems a simply and passive hub, like the cable splitter; no pwm signal regeneration
