Acer-XG270HU refresh rate issues?

Thread Starter
So im currently running a completly missmatched 4k samsung U24E590D (due to be sold)
that was completly wrong for my set up (see my sig rig)

so I have decided to buy this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-XG270HU-omidpx-27-Inch-16/dp/B00U2FDO4C

I have found one in the UK for £270 and before pulling the trigger would like to know about the supposed refresh rate range:

Reviews show that some people are getting 75Hz and others are getting the advertised 144Hz
as I am running an Nvidea GPU i cant take advantage of freesync so would this limit my refresh to 75 or even lower?

I would realy appreciate some help before i spend any money.thumb.gif

You've linked a different monitor to that in title.

The Acer comes in 2 versions - XG270HU (144hz) and XG270HUA (75hz). If it doesn't specifically state 144hz it is most likely the "newer", "slower" model and may even be wrongly listed as the XG270HU.

Acer do this a lot and one has to wonder if they intentionally set out to confuse consumers.
