Adding Ryzen to the i7 Category

Thread Starter
Firstly, I need some information clarification: What are the current rules for the i7 category? Do we have any core limitation restrictions set up?

According to the data that was submitted to the Ryzen Database I set up, the average PPD output on ryzen appears to be around 110k on core a7s, and 41k on core a4's.

What do you all think?

Would all current Ryzen variants be allowed up to the 1700X?  Or would we need to limit it to the 6C/12T Ryzen's only?

All -  So, up to and including 1800X but limited to the 6C/12T rule.  This would have to be put to a Captain/VC vote first.

I am definitely okay with that adding all Ryzen CPUs R5-1600 - R7-1800X.

... I can't make a poll here at work, could someone either edit my thread or create a new thread for the vote? redface.gif

EDIT: Out of curiosity, what is the reasoning for limiting the the 8C CPUs to 6C? I feel like I should remember the reasoning, but I can't remember for the life of me redface.gif

I would say it is because the i7 has the same limitations and for testing purposes.
