I'm looking for a mouse with as many assignable butons as possible. For years I've been using the Logitech G600, it has 22 buttons and so far it only lacks a double-click button. That you can't assign, and it's a pity because left click micro-switch always dies after 4 months or so of intensive use.
I'm totally used to all the buttons, big fan of macros, and I would be very sad had the mouse one button less. So every 4 months I buy a new one for 40-50 euros. It's discontinued, and Logitech doesn't have a equivalent mouse.
I Don't mind about dpi and performance.
So do you know any better mouse?
Thank you.
It's not. Also if it dies in 4 months it means it's still on a warranty.
Plus, as was recently discussed, if you live in low humidity environment, you'll get double click issue on any mouse. Soldering in new switches might be the best option.
Hi!
I'm not any good at soldering, I know I can't do it. No repairman wants to take the job, and my father told me that to do the job correctly you need a special soldering machine. I'm looking for something better. I still have a few G600 mice left in my cupboard but it won't last forever unless I buy an entire truck of it.
What do you mean it's not discontinued? The last time I rma the mouse, European Logitech support told me they don't make these mice any more. I insisted a lot telling them it's the only mouse I like and the best I konw so far, asking them if they havent got one left somewhere, even a refurbished one, but ultimately they sent me a G602. I gave it to my father... He liked it a lot but there is not enough buttons on it for me.
Even the razor and Naga have less buttons, I wouldn't mind their toy alike horrendously flashy look, had their price been not so high for less buttons.
Well, I don't need the mouse for Tapatalk, but for Reaper, Cubase, Chrome, Vegas and many other programs. When I first bought one few years ago, I thought the mouse had too many buttons, but you get used to them, every single button is assigned and I use them all, all the time. I save a lot of time with the mouse, it's not a gadget.
20 MMO-TUNED BUTTONS + "scroll-down" and "scroll-up" functions, both unreassignable functions, a pity that you can't reassign them by the way, it would be useful in Cubase.
No, it would mean I would have to click twice, one time for the shift, and one time for the macro or function. In that case the sole 12 keys panel of the G600 has 36 possibility, because it can shift between three modes, I only use one mode.
Other than the Roccat Nyth already mentioned, the only thing I could suggest is perhaps the Swiftpoint Z. It's not a traditional Naga-like MMO mouse but a smart mouse with tons of different sensors that could be used to emulate 22 functions.
The Swiftpoint Z isn't sold yet, it seems very expensive, and it is rather meant for gaming. I'm just looking for a resistant mouse with many buttons. Why doesn't anyone come with a mouse with 30 direct functions? It's such a simple technology.
Just buy a Razer Orbweaver and assign thumbstick to WASD. Pink for shift, alt, ctrl and 3 rows of 4 columns 1 to = is 4 hotbars, while only ever having to shift 1 finger 1 key.
G13 would be better build wise (still working at a friends after 6000 hours of use) and with it's lua scripting it can do macros no one else can, but the ergonomics are a lot worse.
If Logi would make a followup with the same quality but better ergonomics, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, even if it would be over $150.
Most gamechanging peripheral I ever bought, mice were an evolution, this was a revolution.
Yes I know this kind of tool, but they haven't even came with the idea of adding a sensor on the bottom of it in order to use it as a mouse, how stupid is that..? Neither does it have a scrolling wheel. The thing is merely a hundred euros keyboard with a little joystick on the side.
