good score, pretty much a max out with my current knowledge.

the poseidons were pretty much maxxed out already, they run cool now though which is good.

I am going with a mild overclock for 24/7 now ... standard 4.5 on cpu and gpu 1803 step for core and 11840 step for memory.

the EXC-800 is more then enough to cool both gpus and cpu, going sub zero might be something on next build, insulating stuff will have to be part of design. don't know if that stuff would be worth it though.
it has powerful pump, when put inline with my aquastream pump it blew out my pressure equalization valve, little mess but nothing bad.thumb.gif

Nice score, My second poseidon arrived the other day but much more is needed before I can install it. Here is what I got on just one card on air at 2012MHz, Nice to see the graphics score pretty much double.

Here is my 3DMark score at a moderate 2076Mhz Core clock and 1436Mhz Memory clock. Not bad I'd say especially for a pretty much set it and forget it GPU overclock. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/2493066

Interesting review of the 1080Ti Poseidon by Bit-tech here: https://www.bit-tech.net/reviews/tech/graphics/asus-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-rog-poseidon-platinum-review/1/

There's good comparison to other 1080Ti Poseidons (air & AIO) from some well known vendors, the 1080 FE and latest by RX Vega 64/56. AMD has a long way to go to beat the 1080Ti.

Surprised to see the memory overclocked so easily. Are current owners able to do the same as what Bit-Tech achieved?

I was able to get a little better on my firestrike extreme as he did but that could just be my CPU out performing his.

Edit: Also my time spy I mentioned in an earlier post was better than his as well, I got a stable clock a little higher since that test as well so I could probably hit at least 10,000.
Note: that my benchmarks are with air cooling.

Edit2: just did another Time spy with my new overclock.

^ The interesting bit of data from Bit-Tech is how badly the new AMD RX Vega cards are doing compared to the 1080Ti. With the heavy power drawn by RX Vega, coupled with lower performance - I don't know how AMD is going to beat NVidia. Competition is good, but AMD has a long way to go.

Right now, the 1080Ti is king of the hill and NVidia is sitting pretty. Don't think Volta will be coming to consumers anytime soon as NVidia has no competition on the top end.

You have to remember RX Vega is only their gaming branded Vega GPU's which in all honesty is probably a fraction of their income GPU wise with the new x86 Console APU's and with Radeon Instinct. AMD will be just fine just for now not in the high end gaming market.

^ Apart from poor performance and energy issues, the unavailability of AIB partner cards for RX Vega is the glaring issue. It's telling that nothing is on the market . There's lots of excuses on why this is so, but reputable names such as MSI remain silent and unwilling to put their name brand on such a gaming chip from AMD.

Best way to loose a fight for the top position is a no show.

I get that and I'm not disagreeing all I am saying is obviously AMD does not really care nor should they, they will make more money from Instinct and APU's in the millions of consoles they are going to sell between PS4 Pro and Xbox One Scorpio. Does it suck that AMD isnt in the super high end GPU gaming market? Sure but the Vega 64 is at least competitive with the 1080 which hopefully keeps nvidia into releasing a killer Volta instead of major cut down versions.
