Videos do not show anything, it is extremely easy to hide bleed on video.

OLEDs are huge though. frown.gif if you want to use them as a monitor, you need lots of space. It's not something you can just put at a desk 70cm in front of you ... thumb.gif

Save for that Dell OLED monitor but then again that's $3,000 instead of *just* $2,000.

Can we stop with the OLED TV comparisons? When people keep saying "For that money you can just buy an OLED TV".... well guess what, the people here who want this monitor a lot of us ALREADY OWN those OLED TVs. They are NOT the same experience, the only thing in common is the price tag and resolution.

Yes this Acer will be a great upgrade for the gamers . I think if u need the best wait the 32'' with 1000 FALD zones or the OLED . I think we don't need all these features because the human eye will be happy with black levels ( 384 zones ) and the brightness ( HDR 1000 nits ) especially at 27'' .

I'm also pretty sure that while OLED looks better, the availability and price of X27 will be a strong asset (assuming OLEDs follow the pricing of Dell's OLED monitor, and that is 3000$).

I wish it was 1500$ for us poor plebs from Western Europe, but it will end up the typical way of it costing 2500 euro here and 2000$ in US biggrin.gif

Yes I am definetely holding out for a 32 inch version of this monster. Are you sure it's going to have 1000 zones though?

I didn't mean using it as desktop display, obviously biggrin.gif I am not some huge TV fan, I don't even have one at the moment, but if we are approaching high-end TVs with a price point of 27" display, this arises some serious doubts. Hard not to see a huge disproportion in capabilities, universality and in this case most likely also quality in favor of a TV. Maybe not for strict use cases, but for something with any diversity, the value is multiple times better on a TV. Best to have both, but... thats hardly achievable in country where monthly salary is smaller than weekly salary in serious countries tongue.gif

Well, TVs sadly are 60hz with weak reaction times and often huge input last as well smile.gif there is 120hz oled LG C7 but it's 120hz for potato FHD only.

120 Hz is achievable in potato games only, so this is not that much of a problem. And also there is even no hardware that can do it at 4K even in mid-demanding games, not to mention ones with high visual fidelity, and thats assuming that you can by some miraculous way bypass all the software limitations, which you can't in fact.

I say at least 1000 zones because the human is greedy . If u gave him 1000 zones , he'll say this very few we need more .
I think the high end TVs with the half of dimming zones of this monitor perform greatly .This Acer is the double zones with the half size .
