For gaming you can't beat the 1600 as the sweet spot of the RyZen line-up and the Asus mobo is beefy and will support that CPU well and down the road if you want to OC it. The total package is a good bang for the buck!

Sounds awesome, and sounds like the one to get, getting a great mobo is important because my old build is a am3 cpu and the mobo is a asus m5a97 plus and it it sissipoints me. On that one the usb ports cut out and cuts out my wifi, aand only having ine pcie slot too, irony the new 1600 has the same grz as my fx 6300 lol. I almost bought intel late last year but skiped cuz i wanted to wait to see amd new stuff, and im glad i did, btw i love most of asus products too. also side note, will 16 gb of ddr4 ram be good enough for high settings if i go with ur suggestions?

16GB of DDR4 is plenty.

A lot of people have actually been having issues with that board. I've been in the Ryzen thread for over a month now, and there is another thread active on the forums right now of another user that has this board that won't post. Asus wasn't named but one of the vendors was complaining about the time given to prepare motherboards. All of the issues with this particular board points that finger at Asus as the one complaining. While i would certainly recommend the crosshair still for a non budget build i do not think that i could let another user purchase this board at this point in time. That being said i don't think any of the boards have issues delivering power to Ryzen. My R7 1700x for example uses like 110-130w with 1.364v applied to it. If you use a 1600 it would use even less. I don't think the power delivery system will be an issue unless you want to go 4.2Ghz +, but i don't think you will be. You'd honestly be fine with any B350 as long as you don't need SLi

http://www.overclock.net/t/1629262/amd-ryzen-build-wont-post/0_30#post_26058295

Edit: (With AM3+ and Bulldozer you had CPU's pulling 220W at stock. That is not the case with Ryzen. The 1600 is a 65W CPU at stock. This is why the motherboard power delivery isn't AS important.)

I've never had a MOBO die out on me mid cycle, and my usual budget is 100-120. I overspent on my X370GT7 a bit. But i stand by my assessment that i wouldn't be the ASUS X370 Pro.

my old Asus board I paid 59 for trying to cheap out same with the cup knowing Zen was coming, I built my current pc in Dec of 2015, but it won't even play froze right anymore, as for the Asus am4 I saw that link it would worry me if I had it
