Hello all, need a $700 programmers build.

I need to build out a new quad core machine to improve on my old Q9400 processor dell 520s slim. The last time I built a overclocked custom PC was back in 2007.

I am looking at the i5 6600K as my processor. I will run it with a very light overclock and a really good fan. I need a 1GB or 2GB Nvidia video card to run Maya Viewport 2.0.

I need to compile as fast as possible with IntelliJ IDEA for recursive testing of Java, AS3, and Javascript. So, DD4 Memory, Small SSD, and large primary standard hard drive. I don't care about startup time. I just need a high quality fast 128GB SSD for my programming and graphics programs, and everything else will just install on my main HD.

Any thoughts on a better processor for not too much more?

i5 6600k or RyZen 1600.

Seems you're on a budget and or want a specific utilitarian PC. So go to Amazon and look around - just off the top of my head a GTX 1050 2GB, A Samsung 128GB SSD, G.Skill DDR4 that is compatible with your mobo (at your specific budget) and a 3TB Seagate or WD HDD.

Here is what I came up with... I don't need the disk space. I just need fast compiling speed. I only use about 150GB on my current 1TB drive after using it for nine years.

You will notice there is no video card. People have told me the integrated graphics on the i5-7600K are good enough for programming and light 3D modeling. I do all my work on this Dell 540s with a Q9400 2.66gz Quad Core currently, and it works pretty well. Graphics card is 512MB. Just want something a little better to speed up recursive testing in programming.
