Jep just start from the point where the cable is coming out of the shell and work your way up.

I don't use a bungee and the reason for that is because I have a braided cable. If I didn't I'd have to invest in a bungee.

I also have a Steelseries 9HD mouse matt and it's a hard one, so maybe that's why I find braided better.

I think for sure though, if you don't have a bungee, it's got to be braided otherwise the rubber snags and you'll find yourself yanking it constantly. I'll take your word for it that when you do have a bungee rubber is better.

I don't know where this opinion has come from but I have to say I'm very much pro braided cable and the reason is really rather simple. If I use a braided cable, I get no resistance where the cable hangs off the back of my desk. If I use a normal cable, due to the rubber texture it sticks and I find myself having to yank it during gameplay.

So I've seen this opinion that braided creates drag, which is what I can only assume you're also of the opinion is true. I'm just baffled by this as I've found the exact opposite to be true. Maybe if you're using a mouse bungie you may find it drags, I couldn't really comment having not used one but I really hope Roccat don't consider changing this, as it's one of the reasons I've bought the new Pure Owl-eye, that and the shape is absolutely perfect for my small hands / grip (Roughly 18cm L and 10.5cm W).

My problem with braided cables is mainly how stiff they are. My Paracord mod is also a fabric and it's fine. Also you don't need a bungee, I just tape my cable to the side of my monitor so most of it is elevated anyway. Before that I used a cable management solution to stop it from hanging from the back of my desk, but really any kind of fixation is enough.

For those who tried both this Kone Pure and the G Pro...
I would like, if possible, how you feel the size of these mouse.

My grip is something similar to what Ino has shown in his pictures in this thread.
My palm does not touch the mouse, just the knuckles sometime when I use the G502.
I've tried the G203 and I would like know how does it compare to the Kone Pure (shape-grip-wise).

For me the G Pro had a 2 narrrow hump made me change to my old Zowie FK2 since it has a wider hump, since I like to use a hydrid claw/palm grip. Now the Kone Pure got a even wider hump which is not a bad thing I actually think I might like the shape more over the FK2, but need to test more.

Due to Ino's review have just put through an order for this model at MassDrop.

Nice one Ino, if you recommended it, I'm buying it immediately yessir.gif .

Thanks for the review! Unfortunately have to skip this mouse due to size. Figured since I did return the original one 5+ years ago for being too small then.

I do have the EMP and think it's awesome. So I hope they can get a zowie route and make a medium one in the future with a lighter weight and no tilting scroll. Possibly some comfort grooves for m1/m2. EMP is really good size wise but the weight just gets to you during long competitive sessions. I was able to use it at pretty high skill matches regardless but struggled with some little things like aerial aiming and fatigue after 4+ hours

I second that, a medium one would be great but I'd keep the, how they call it, 4D wheel, I use those extra buttons a lot.
If the EMP was lighter I would already bought it to replace my heavy G502.

Just to let you guys know the scroll wheel on mine is making a weird noise when scrolling it almost sounds like something internally is being knocked about by the scrolling or the structure of the mouse is creaking under the stress. It's really irritating and I can't live with it. The Pure Optical before it did not have this issue.

As such I've requested a replacement from Amazon so I'll see if that one has the same issue.

i debraided the cable today(took me longer than usual as the braid was too stiff), it's lighter now but the rubber still has a weird texture on it. Also if i can explain it correctly m1/m2 have different pressure points resulting in a different feel according to where you press the button(for example if i press m2 at the uttermost right side the click doesn't register at all). They have some kind of rattle and inconsistency(if i hold m1 there is no rattle), if i can compare it i say it reminds me of dm1 pro s without the pre-travel issue. Honestly i expected better from roccat quality as my old kone XTD is still perfect with great clicks, great scroll whell and it's dead silent also, i don't understand why every company has QA issues these days..rolleyes.gif
