Dell t3400 Q9550 Overclock

Thread Starter
As a personal project, I started to build an extreme bugdet Gaming PC. First, I bought for 67 euro a Dell T3400 (Dell TP412 mobo) with 12GB RAM, an intel core quad Q9550 and a quadro 4000 (huge surprise smile.gif).

I sold the Quadro on Ebay for around 100 euro, and bought a GTX 770 for ending the build. The PC works great, but sometimes I feel like the 770 is being bottlenecked by the Q9550.

As my mobo doesn't support bios overclock, I researched till I found BSEL tape mod. I tried to make it work but when I boot and the tape is on the CPU, I just get 6 beeps and no display (dell support says it is a memory error). If I remove it the system just works as expected. Do you have any idea on how could I solve this?

Have you tried SetFSB?
