For any 3-D printer people out there...........

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, I need some help and I'm hoping I can find it here.

I saw this ...........

http://3dmakers.thermaltake.com/dwgallery.aspx?s=188

And I am hoping someone on here that does 3D printing can help me out, preferably someone in the US as it will be shipped to Miami.
If you can do this or know of where I can get one of these please PM me with the details, etc.

Thanks anyone for your help.

That's a really difficult shape to print. Maybe if it was cut in half and printed separately then glued together.

If you do get someone to print this, make sure they have some high strength filament, and experience printing with said high strength filament.

Printed with normal PLA, ABS, or PET this thing will not bear the weight of your radiator very long, and that would be a very expensive mistake.

That said it shouldn't be too hard to print as long as one uses supports and prints it with the tube bit vertical (which is the correct orientation to make it strong anyway).

I don't see how you think those materials aren't strong enough. It should be plenty strong as long as you're printing right.

Anyway, I took a closer look at the STL, and it's basically unprintable without extensive supports and looking generally awful. To make it work without supports, I'd fill in the cutout on cylindrical section, slice it in half, and print two separate pieces.

Well Iguess I should have mentioned the fact that it is supporting a single 140mm fan radiator. It is the LC Solution Coolstream PE radiator from EK, a brand new one that I've had laying around and wanted to try and put it on my P3 case along with the XSPC triple 120MM rad that will also be installed.

Print it horizontally so the cylinder is standing up. Shouldn't be too hard but my printer is incomplete so I can't help you here. I will say it seems a little thin for something that's supposed to hold a radiator though.
