Since custom 1060s and 480/580s 8GB cards are hitting well above 300€, at least where I live, I doubt we will be able to buy such performance for 350-400€.

I was, or still am, hoping for cut-down Vega to rival 1070, and thus bringing the price down, to at least 300-350€, but since there are no proper leaks, I got tired of waiting and wasted 300€ for a new Thrustmaster wheel. Hopefully my 380 will hold for another year.

I hope AMD will make Vega competitive, otherwise all of us that sit in 250-350€ bracket are screwed, till another series...

Of course it's vaporware until it's released and AMD have made it clear it will be released in the second half of 2017 so why is there so much drama over an unknown release date?

Well, just for reference sake, the launch prices for fiji in europe were: fury ~600€ and fury x 700€. If anything, i would say that the gpu prices have slowly but steadily risen over the last years.
Anyway, my guess would be that vega will be priced similar to fiji at launch.

This.

If I have Tis in my system is because I couldn't wait anymore to upgrade my 290x. It is also the first time since 2010 that I have less than 3 cards.

My 1600T2 is not fully used at all.

This product is maybe on schedule, but we have been informed of Vega a few years ago and it is still not here.

If they want 600€ for cut Vega it has to be a 1080Ti class card... Which I don't think is gonna happen.

I admin I didn't check the prices before posting, so I did now I it looks they went down a bit. But still 270-300+€ for 8GB 580s.

So yeah sub 400€ small Vega could happen, but with no real info, it's really hard to say. But I doubt they won't release a 1070 competitor, that would be stupid no?

That's a thought. A thought that makes absolutely no sense in the context of reality, but a thought nonetheless. Good job.
