OC'd E5500 vs Q9650!

HI, Guys! I got two processors [e5500,q9650] and need your help to decide what one should I go with. With my old xfx 630i i think i can push q9650 to 3.6GHZ Max while e5500 I think I can take it to 4.5GHZ with a decent cooler. But I don't have that decent cooler and I'm on tight budget xD! So I got few options and need to figure which is the best for me
1) I can sell Q9650 and get Hyper 612 v2 to get the most out of e5500.
2) keep the Q9650 3.0GHZ with Intel stock cooler and save some money to get the cooler so I can OC it to 3.6GHZ
So the question in a simple way is: could that dual-core cpu @4.5 beat Q9650 @3.6? More cores or more clock speed?

Who will be paying for electricity to run that pile of junk @4.5GHz. It might be cheaper to get a smartphone something newer and less power hungry which would be cheaper long term. Anyhow the e5500 is a dual core. You do not want a dual core today. q9650 at stock is fine.

Aha I got your point, dude. I have always been fascinated by Q9650 in addition to that playing with those old stuff is a sort of fun! Okay let's stay with it but I still want to know for informative purposes if e5500 @4.5 could beat the Q9650?

i did not run the numbers, but i'm pretty sure the dual core @4.5 will demolish the q9650 in single threaded applications and the q9650 will demolish the e5500 in games the require 4 threads. Or worse. Some games like Dragon Age Inquisition refuse to even start on dual cores nowadays.
