On stock clocks and stock fan curve it idles at <60 and load 77 max. Yeah even with power limit set to max 117(random number) as soon as I apply the OC my PC throws a fit.

I'm idling in the 40s on mine but my case/fan curve is optimized for silence...

I got the MSI GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X which replaced my MSI GTX 1080 GAMING X which replaced my 2 MSI GTX 980 GAMING which replaced my 2 MSI GTX 780 GAMING which replaced my 2 MSI GTX 660 Ti's. I've NEVER had an issue with an MSI graphic card and the 1080 Ti is, like all my previous MSI cards, a solid purchase.

I'm able to get the same overclocks as you guys are really easily and keeping temps low with a semi-aggressive fan curve with Afterburner. Although. I keep my Memory at +350 as I don't see a noticeable difference between that and +500. This card is a beast! And I'm sure it'll get even as the drivers mature for it.

well with the fan set to stock it idles at 60 cause the fans are dead in idle and only start running while gaming etc... and then it runs at 75. With my custom fan curve it idles at 40 and 40% fan speed and 60 on load.

Mine is dead silent. Really, don't hear it at all. I had a FTW3 on preorder, and the day before it was supposed to ship, I cancelled and got this once i read reviews about how loud the FTW3 is. I read a couple reviews that said this one is quiet , and they weren't kidding (very glad I switched my order).

I found it on promotion for 671€ without tax (I can write it as business expense) the strix in comparison is 730€, guess it's a no brainier.. will try this card then, hope no coil whine smile.gif

None. Though even with my R9 390 Gaming X I also had none. I've either been very lucky in that aspect or I'm just oblivious to that sound.
