[Guru 3d] AMD Radeon RX Vega faster than 1080ti in 3D Mark - Page 2

I'm too lazy to confirm, but I read on Reddit that people said the lower Vega score actually shows up in the 3dMark database, but the newer higher score does not. The result could have been deleted, but suspiciously there is a Ryzen 1700x + 1080Ti with an exact score of 9753. So the current thinking is someone did an HTML edit of that result and took a screenshot.

/s.

Exactly.

I hope water in the name means it comes with AIO

Problem is if it does clock 1.6GHz and have better IPC and ROP / cache system, it could really hit 10K Graphic Score on Timespy.

Just compare it to Fury X which is clock at 1GHz you will get the picture.

Maybe that is why Nvidia is coming out with Volta as soon as Q3, they probably know something we didnt. (AMD might not beat Titan Xp, but pricing such as beast for a cheaper price would shaken 1080 / Ti sales.)

Seems like it based on this information.

According to the 3DMark Technical Guide (http://s3.amazonaws.com/download-aws.futuremark.com/3DMark_Technical_Guide.pdf), Time Spy scores are calculated as follows: Score=1/((0.85/Graphics Score) + (0.15/CPU Score)). Notice that 1/((0.85/10158)+(0.15/8233)) = 9813.8, which is nowhere near the score shown in the image (9753). Also, notice that the Vega result that is in the database is consistent with the way the score is calculated (1/((0.85/5721)+(0.15/7699)) = 5950.3, which rounds to the score in the image (5950)).

/s.

One of the many people who can't identify fake news.

Actually I have a Fury X and am getting Vega, so no, you are incorrect.

It will all come down to the right pricing. Even if they have a 1080 matching card, if they price it right it will sell!
But obviously many people will be disappointed.
I do expect closer to ti, but not faster, I guess the reason why they are taking so long to announce (I mean, they have a working board for 6 months already) is that they made a new tape out to clock higher..

We need them to do good.. nvidia already enjoying too many free rides. rolleyes.gif

This is totally fake, there is no actual 3D Mark link to be found anywhere, Photoshop!

If my Ti couldn't score higher than 9753, I'd RMA that thing.

The 1080ti only scores better than that with higher than FE clock speeds, I think all of the custom cards are right around 10,000.

Damn this is really alarming to see so many tech reviews spreading that fake benchmarks without even checking it's legitimity.
They just copy paste each other and come up with a juicy click baity title...
REALLY sick of those clueless idiots mad.gif

So to make things clear, the 687F:C1 5950 benchmark from TS is Legitimate, here is the link :
http://www.3dmark.com/spy/1544741
There is another benchmark that actually no one reported, it's from the same user the same day but this time it's firestrike
http://www.3dmark.com/fs/12296284

Regarding the 9753 Score it's been forged using HTML editing, this is extremely easy to do. This is not in there database (checked myself) and the scores just don't even add up.
Here is an example of what you can do lol
https://pp.userapi.com/c638431/v638431920/3ce02/7nthSJtAKXc.jpg

I hope this will slow down the unnecessary hype train...
Actually i am glad it's fake - I expect more from vega tongue.gif
